Music – Albums

Georgia Mancio music - Live at RevoiceGeorgia performs a collection of duos recorded live over 3 years at her own much celebrated international voice festival.
Here are rarely heard Carole King and David Bowie covers with titans Liane Carroll and Ian Shaw; a bass/scat trade at breakneck speed with Michael Janisch; a haunting 1960s Italian pop song with accordionist Maurizio Minardi; a newly written vocalese of ‘Sugar’ with Laurence Cottle; a stunning whistle solo; and the debut of ‘Bendita’ – part of a set of new music co-written with Tom Cawley specifically for their ReVoice! appearance.
Other illustrious collaborators include: Andrew Cleyndert (the album’s co-producer), Nikki Iles, Robert Mitchell, Colin Oxley, James Pearson and Jason Rebello.

Georgia Mancio music - Come Rain come shineGeorgia joins forces with award-winning guitarist, Nigel Price, in this beautiful and intimate collection of jazz standards.  Part duo, part trio (with another long-term collaborator, bassist Julie Walkington), Come Rain or Come Shine was recorded completely live with no overdubbing in a small studio over two afternoons.  The result is an organic, deceptively simple set of ten songs with story telling and improvisation as equal partners.  Rain, shine, light, shade: all is to be found here.

Georgia Mancio music - SilhouetteBeginnings and endings; roads and journeys; losses and gains: Silhouette, Georgia’s third album, marks the end of her first decade as a professional performer and the beginning of her next as an accomplished writer and interpreter. A bold collection of originals written in collaboration with Pat Metheny, Tim Lapthorn and Kate Williams merged with classics by Antonio Carlos Jobim, Tom Waits and Styne, Comden and Green: these are songs for our times.

Georgia Mancio music - TrapezeFrom English to Italian to Spanish to Brazilian Portuguese: a Rodgers and Hart standard rubbing shoulders with a Chilean folk song; a Cuban classic sitting alongside a show-tune; an Italian opo song nestled between two blues and three very different sambas paying homage to the great composers of Brazil past and present. This is Trapeze, the follow-up to Georgia’s debut, Peaceful Place, and the culmination of two years’ live work with her band: Gareth Lockrane (flutes), John Pearce (piano), Dave Green (bass), Dave Ohm (co-producer/drums) and Anselmo Netto (percussion/mandolin).
