Jazz standards are exemplary in the “Great American Songbook”. It almost feels like hubris when Alan Broadbent & Georgia Mancio also call their album “Songbook”. At the KulturForum in Kiel on Saturday, however, it became clear that the pianist and singer were indeed setting new standards.
